June Bullet Journal & A Goal Check In
I can’t believe it’s June already. Time has just flown by since January. There’s been one show after another and I don’t think I’ve gotten a full weekend off since Easter (and who knows when before that). But with the new month there is also another month to layout in my bullet journal.
I liked the layout I started last month so I kept that going instead of reverting back to a calendar this month.
Along with changing from a monthly calendar to weekly options, I also started tracking my daily word count and I really enjoyd that layout so I’m keeping that in my habit tracker as well. One thing I did alter this month is I numbered the squares in my habit tracker. Previously I would just count to find the day I wanted but that was getting a little taxing so I’m trying out the numbered squares this month. I like the look of it already so I’ll probably keep that around.
I’ve been pretty boring with my layouts, mostly because of the size of this notebook, but I’m enjoying the functionality (and that’s what’s important). I’ve been keeping on top of things and have been much more aware of these habits as well as my spending habits since starting this bullet journal.

Now, along with the bullet journal, the new month is also a time to reflect on my goals from last month and reevaluate for this month. Sadly I didn’t hit most of my goals due to the amount of time I’ve had to devote to the production this past month (though it finally opens tonight and I’ll have more time then!).
I had wanted to finish reading three books, but I didn’t even finish one (though I’m really close and will probably get that knocked out this weekend!). I will say the next few on my pile to read are significantly shorter than this current book (which is almost 800 pages long), so I should be much better here in June.
I had also wanted to finish writing the next chapter of my novel this month. I had gotten a good start to it at the beginning of May but then, well rehearsals, and I dropped off the radar there. With this show opening tonight, I will actually be getting a real weekend again (I’ll have Sunday’s and Monday’s off) so I’m going to be digging into that again Monday’s while the boyfriend is at work. I’m looking to finish this chapter and at least get partway through the next one this month.
My other goal this month is to get back to my regular posting schedule and also to get some posts written ahead of time. That way when I hit weeks where I don’t have time to write I can still have content to schedule to publish instead of disappearing off the face of the earth for a week at a time.
Fingers are crossed, but so far this summer looks like it will be much more productive creatively/personally than the past few months have been.
I hope you all have a great weekend and that wherever you are the weather stays beautiful!
