Week In Review 7.16.17-7.23.17
I’ve been quiet on the blog this past week in an effort to get caught up and prep some things to post. I really don’t like rattling off posts on the fly but more often than not that’s what ends up happening because of my schedule. I have also been getting caught up in reading this past week. I finally started on A Game of Thrones and I’m loving it! I’d been refusing to watch the TV show because the books have been on my to-be-read list but now that I’ve started the books I may start in on the show also.
Along with reading, I also made some more progress on my current A Crack in the Mirror chapter. I’d been lazy the week before about starting this current chapter, not because I didn’t know where to go, but because I was enjoying the satisfaction of having finished the chapter before.
Other exciting things that happened this past week include watching fireworks at a small fair with the boyfriend and his dad. It’s been a while since I’ve gone anywhere just to watch fireworks, so this unexpected excursion was nice. There was a small old-timey fair going on in the one park in our city so we got some fries and a funnel cake and laid out in the grass to watch.
I was also offered a position at the theatre I currently intern for this past week. I’ve been wanting to stay on at this theatre because I really love this community and the people I’ve been able to work with. I will be working full-time mostly, but I will also have an extra day off every week so I am able to find other part time work. I had applied at the Whitaker Center as a stagehand and am now waiting to hear back from them after I interviewed early last week. I am going to have to be even more on top of my writing now because I’m really cutting down on any available time to do so.
But all in all, things have been going well and I’m looking forward to this next season at the theatre. This week I will be getting back to posting new items so keep an eye out Wednesday for a writing quote and Thursday for a book review.
