August Bullet Journal
This summer has flown by, but as I get older everything seems to be doing that and they tell me it doesn’t get better. But another month means another bullet journal spread. I’ve completely revamped my layout this month–I even broke out the washi tape I bought back in June (or maybe May, I don’t remember). Side note: I took the pictures on Monday once I finished set-up but wasn’t able to get the post out till now.
The first major chance I made was to box in my day to day items in the weekly section. I love the change I made back in May to go to the expanded weeks view instead of one calendar, but I found that the very busy days would run together visually. Boxing things in has made it much easier to see a difference from one day to the next.
The next major change I made was to my budget spread. I added a column in the spending log to calculate the balance remaining in each category so I can keep a more active eye on my budget. I also consolidated my income/expenses lists and took out the actual/difference columns. Now I have a space to write the expected amount and the category while the balance column will let me keep an eye on the rest.
My other changes were basically just making things pretty. I added washi tape all around (I thought the foxes were a good fit for August). The space for recording this month’s blog stats was a happy accident. I’d added too many boxes for the last week and decided some colored paper would fix that right up.
I’m really enjoying the changes for this month. Did you make any chages to your layouts this time around?
